Two bodies have been found in a flat sparking a major police investigation.
Dozens of police officers have cordoned off the flat in Tregonissey Road, St Austell, Cornwall, after the corpses were found last night.
Devon and Cornwall Police said it is treating the deaths as “unexplained”.
The forced added: “The bodies of two people have been located. At this time, police are conducting thorough inquiries and examination of the scene.”
The block of flats is a three-storey building and believed to be owned by Ocean Housing.
One person living in a flat above the incident said she understood the bodies were those of two men.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesman said: “Police were called to an address in the St Austell area where the bodies of two people have been located.
“At this time police are conducting thorough inquiries and examination of the scene to establish the causes of death which are currently deemed as unexplained.
