Pan Pan, the world’s oldest male panda, has died aged 31.
He died at 4.50am on Wednesday in southwest China’s Sichuan Province.
Keepers at the China Conservation and Research Center for Giant Panda said he was 100 human years old at his time of death.
An autopsy is being completed, but his demise is not thought to be suspicious; been living with cancer, and his health had recently deteriorated.
Pan Pan was born in the wild, but lived in captivity from when he was a few months old.
